In her freshman debut, Lythberg pitched Valdosta State to the NCAA Division II World series in 2013, was nominated the 2013 GSC tournament MVP, and was named First-Team All-Conference and All-Region. In her time at Winona State, she earned numerous awards including; NSIC Newcomer of the Year, two-time NSIC Daktronics Award Winner, and was a three-time All-Region and All-Conference pitcher. In the circle at WSU, she posted a record with 496 strikeouts, 83 complete games, 18 shutouts, and two no-hitters. Prior to her years at Keiser, Lythberg spent two years teaching first grade while working with various travel softball teams around the Chicago-land area. She also assisted at Harper College while providing private coaching and team lessons.
