Its former South San Antonio location, which it vacated in the 1990s, is still known as the Lone Star Brewery Development. New owners had plans to turn the property into a mixed-used development but those developers filed for bankruptcy this year before beginning construction.
The beer is still marketed as “The National Beer of Texas.” The Lone Star name is now owned by Pabst Brewing Company.
