EJAE students plan to host their first formal planning meeting with Morgan State students soon to discuss plans for the community center. Amieva said he’s looking forward to working with Morgan’s graduate students who can skillfully apply the EJAE team’s ideas and bring important insight into the project area. When First-Year Engineering students Aaliyah Crawford and David Amieva flew to Baltimore to visit their design project collaborators and community partner, the project they have been working on diligently since September finally felt real. While classical, gospel, and contemporary popular music comprise the majority of the choir’s repertoire, the choir is noted[by whom? ] for its emphasis on preserving the heritage of the spiritual, especially in the historic practices of performance.
The largest sources of enrollment outside of Maryland are New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In 1915, Andrew Carnegie gave the school a grant of $50,000 for a central academic building. Critics say students might be left with nowhere to go if colleges ask them to move out of dorms, or hold off on returning to campus. The Morgan State University Choir has travelled around the world, performing at renowned music venues. Many of its performances have actually been televised and aired internationally. The choir performs with more orchestras annually than any other university choir.

Scientist and inventor Valerie Thomas is also an alumni from Morgan State. In 1997, it is the only HBCU to establish accredited Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and City and Regional Planning programs. A plan was announced by Earl Richardson in 2005 for the program to establish school status and it was designated as the School of Architecture and Planning (S+AP) in 2008.
The group went to the site of the Better Waverly project during Purdue’s visit to Morgan State University’s campus.
