Ravelry: Designs by Vanna White

Get inspired by just a few of the lovely projects featured in this round up of Vanna’s Choice yarn free knitting patterns and crochet patterns. Then when I started Wheel of Fortune, my hairdresser, Kim, was pregnant, and she was crocheting a blanket for her baby. I thought, Oh, my gosh, I used to do that when I was a kid! The funny thing — which I didn’t realize at the time — is that she was left-handed. I’m right-handed, but I watched and copied her movements, and I’ve been crocheting left-handed for the past 37 years. There’s always a crochet project going on for me.

The yarn you choose to make a garment is completely different from what you may choose to make your amigurumi. This is an easy crochet top to work up especially if you’re new to crochet clothes! This is a super easy amigurumi pattern for beginners, and the finished product is so sweet for a little one.

Such beautiful photos of completed afghans, with the patterns for them included. This book contains all directions for every afghan shown. The patterns are written in a good, concise way, very easy to understand. So far any of the patterns I have tried from this book are all correct with no errors. This is a very nice book to keep in your library for inspiration in the future. You may want to come back to this book to choose another afghan to crochet in the future.

I varied the sizes as blankies between 6″ and 8″ have been requested. I completed one square but I’m not as happy with the color changes as I could be. It was a little confusing at first but once I got into it I had no trouble with the pattern. Easy to find – You can find this yarn in most large retailers that have yarn, including Michael’s and Walmart, as well as multiple sites online.

The earth tones really make these super pretty. Use your favorite color of Vanna’s Choice to make a cute little clutch that can be used daily for your necessities. What is there to say with these booties, other than “awww”? The soft colors come from Vanna’s Choice Fern and Lamb colors.

Something like a baby blanket is very, very simple — it’s just two stitches. You’re making something and you’re relaxing. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. Square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Colour choices – Unless you can find the baby version of this yarn (which I can’t in stores here in Canada), there are not many bright and vibrant Vanna’s Choice colours. All the colours in the collection have been selected specifically to match each other really well, which is nice, encantado spanish to english but I find the tones limited. I love bright colours, and sometimes I find this yarn a little dull in that department – except the blue I use for Walden the narwhal! I could not find a nice bright, sunny yellow for Bobby the bee, or a nice Easter violet for Flora the bunny.
