I am very happy with this sub’s performance and build quality, as long as you have the equipment to support it being configured externally. Just expect to handle it gingerly, upgrade its “just ok” feet for hard surfaces, and only have legitimate bass to 25 vs 20hz. I purchased this sub to replace a similar late 2000s era Polk MicroPro 1000 sub which randomly burned up its amp after minimal use over a decade or so of ownership despite only running on properly filtered, grounded power sources etc. Polk offered no options to replace or repair its amp, so their service is not what it used to be . Definitive are owned by the same parent company, and they seem to only make this style of product under Definitive’s brand name in the current market.
