The Stoney Ridge Farmer

On December 21, 2016, our investigators observed an uncovered filling station, exposing pasteurized apple cider to the processing environment during production. On the same day, our investigators observed at least three flies in the production room and an open entry door that exposed the production area to the outside during production. Every morning when I wake up and look out my window I can see what it used to be and I can see what it is now. If you do make it bigger there are always people who are going to try and tear you apart—there are a lot of haters, there’s a lot of negativity. Learning how to deal with that negativity was one of the hardest parts of having a YouTube channel. Maintaining your integrity and maintaining who you are and not letting the people who are trying to be against you win by getting to you.

In addition, Josh admires the cutter’s skid plates that stop tearing along the ground below the equipment which helps maintain his well-cultivated land. Josh says cutting the weeds down, versus spraying the weeds, helps to preserve the nutrient-rich soil, a vital component to increasing plant growth and developing more forage and biomass. In the video, Josh cuts deep brush, debris, and weeds using the BW 15.50 instead of using harsh and costly chemical weed repellents. He shows viewers a field on the edge of his property taken over by dogfennel, an aggressive weed species. If not removed, dogfennel will flower, seed, and invade the healthy pasture.

It was a former tobacco farm that they stopped farming fifteen to thirteen years ago. So it’s all a soil building exercise right now and hopefully we can get the four-legged lawn mowers in here to mow and produce some fertilizer for us. So live below your means and get ready when you jump in head first, because you’re going to come up kingery divorce swimming and you’re going to have to swim hard to get anywhere. But I’d encourage anybody to jump in and start the journey today. A lot of people are waiting for something, and there’s no reason to wait. The place that I bought here was a very worn-out old tobacco farm with no nutrients in the soil, and I’m slowly bringing it back.

I told my wife on my first date that I wanted to get back to the country. I wanted to move back closer to home, closer to my parents. I asked all of my patients if they had any land for sale and one of my patients said “yeah, me”.

Fast forward from that, Josh just jumped in and followed in the footsteps of the people he was inspired by but gave it his own twist. Then suddenly he was traveling and meeting people in the community. While most people were sitting on the couch at night, maybe watching a little bit of TV, Josh was sitting on the couch, with his headphones on, trying to figure out how to edit and make his footage look good. Our product will be a grass-fed beef of high quality and pastured chicken of high quality. The whole system here is geared to be a self-sustaining system where we are not bringing any seed or any fertilizers into the farm, we’re only bringing things out of the farm. I actually proposed to my wife in a pair of Liberty overalls. I was in my backyard working in the garden, covered with dirt from head to toe, stinking and nasty. So I walked up to her in my bib overalls and proposed to her on the back porch covered in dirt. Stoney Ridge Farmer’s Most liked YouTube videos from the recently published 20 videos.

I was walking through the field yesterday where I go up and feed the cows every day, and I saw that instead of the soil being rough and gritty, now it’s black, it’s rich, and it’s growing grass better. So I say, I’m building soil, the livestock and the chickens, and all that comes from building soil. So what I enjoy the most about it is building stuff, building the soil, building fences, building things to make the land better.

“One day, I thought, you know, people would probably like to know how I’m doing this and what’s going on here. So I started shooting videos. That was about six and a half years ago, and the rest is history. I’m close to 1100 videos at this point.” Section 743 of the Act [21 U.S.C. § 379j-31] authorizes FDA to assess and collect fees to cover FDA’s costs for certain activities, including re-inspection-related costs.
