If you take too much colchicine capsules, call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away. Using colchicine capsules with certain other medicines can affect each other causing serious side effects and/or death. Colchicine can pass into your breast milk and may harm your baby. While there are no published reports of adverse effects in breast-feeding infants of mothers taking colchicine, colchicine can affect gastrointestinal cell renewal and permeability. Caution should be exercised and breastfeeding infants should be observed for adverse effects when colchicine capsules is administered to a nursing woman.
